An overview of session times and lengths, platforms/softwares needed, and more. Well done for making it this far ⭐
What are the start times and length of each session?
The CFGdegree will usually take place from 18:30-20:30PM GMT/BST - but it sometimes varies depending on regions. We are also trialling a daytime CFGdegree for students who have availability during the day. The classes take place from Monday - Thursday, and there is a short break in the middle of each session.
The CFGdegree takes place over the course of 16 weeks, with a reading break after the first 7-week stage. To view more specific CFGdegree dates please click here.
Expectations and commitment
We expect all students on the CFGdegree to achieve at least 80% attendance. While recordings are available for those times when it's really not feasible, you will still need to attend 80% of your classes to achieve a passing mark. Students also are required to attend all assessments and submit all assignments.
What platforms/software do I need?
All students will be sent a set-up guide prior to their course beginning detailing which software they will need to download. Optional installation sessions with our Tech Team are also available and we would definitely recommend booking a space if you are unsure! All course materials are free of charge and we will not ask for payment to use them. If you are having trouble downloading the software, please ensure that you are using the free/community version of each platform. Please also make sure that your device is up-to-date with the latest software and that you have permission to download software to the device.
I have a space on an upcoming MOOC/Kickstarter - can I do both?
We would suggest keeping your Kickstarter/MOOC place if your CFGdegree space has not been confirmed yet, as spaces are very competitive and not guaranteed. If you are successful in gaining a space, please reach out to our support team via the Contact Us form, and they can cancel your place on the class with no issue.
