How are your classes delivered?
Our Coding Kickstarter classes have been designed to be fully self-paced, independent learning. All of our classes are hosted on the Learning Hub.
The course materials include:
- Set-up guides,

- Topic videos,
- End of topic quizzes,
- Code along videos, and,
- End-of-module exercises
From the point of enrolment, you will have access to the course materials for 8 weeks. Within these 8 weeks, you can complete the class in your own time, from anywhere, as quickly or as slowly as you would like. All you’ll need is access to a good internet connection, a laptop or computer, and an account on the CFG Learning Hub.

How will I be assessed?
Learners will be assessed by quizzes only throughout and will have to complete all quizzes.
How do I achieve a certificate?
In order to receive a certificate, learners must complete all quizzes, and obtain an average percentage score of 60% or more, across all quizzes.
It's worth noting that Coding Kickstarter certificates are sent out twice a month. You will get your certificate either part way through the month or at the end of the month.
Upon receiving your certificate, please download this and keep it backed up, as we will be unable to reissue certificates after 6 months. 📜👩🎓
Is there a recommended weekly schedule?
As everyone leads different lives it would be rather difficult to decide on one recommended weekly schedule. We instead suggest making sure you watch all content videos carefully, as well as the end-of-module exercises. If you feel comfortable afterwards we then recommend doing the quizzes.
What happens if I don’t complete all the quizzes?
All quizzes need to be completed in order to gain a certificate for your Coding Kickstarter class. If you are unable to complete the course within the 8 weeks given, you will need to re-enroll on the class again, and start from the beginning.
What happens if I can't complete a class within eight weeks?
We understand that sometimes life can get in the way and people may not be able to complete their class. If you feel as though you may not be able to complete your Coding Kickstarter class you will need to unenrol from the class. You can find out more about this here.
If you wish to re-enrol you can do so by finding a suitable course on our courses page.
Can I retake the quizzes?
No, quizzes on our Coding Kickstarter classes can only be taken once. We would recommend that before attempting a quiz, you revisit the associated topic videos, code-alongs, and note down important details to help you prepare for each quiz.
Can I re-enrol on to a course?
Yes. If you'd like re-enrol on to a previous course, you can also let us know by filling out this form.
Please be aware, if you decide to re-enrol, that all previous progress has been reset and you'll start the course from the first module.
Why are there multiple different sponsors for a class? Does it matter who I choose?
At CFG we are incredibly lucky to work alongside some amazing clients and leaders in the tech industry who sponsor our classes. It is due to them that we are able to provide so many learning opportunities to women and non-binary students for free!
It does not matter which client you choose to sign up with as all of our class content for a particular topic is exactly the same, regardless of sponsor!
When you sign up for a class, you’ll be able to let us know which sponsor interests you the most - however, please note that your particular class may be sponsored by a different client, and this will be reflected on your certificate of completion.
Do your Kickstarter classes lead to a job role?
No, our Coding Kickstarter classes do not lead to a job and you are not in any way tied to the sponsoring company as a student. It will prepare you for the tech assessment we have for our CFGdegree which does offer a job placement in some instances. If this is something you are interested in, after completing your beginner’s course you can apply for the CFGdegree.
How do I unenrol from a class?
